The Inbox placement rate (also called deliverability rate) is the key email deliverability metric, which measures what percentage of sent emails reached the recipients’ Inboxes. It is calculated by dividing the number of emails delivered in the Inbox by the number of all the emails sent.
Inbox placement rate = Inbox placements / total emails sent
The Inbox placement rate is often seen as more accurate and pertinent metric than the classic delivery rate, which calculates the percentage of delivered messages regardless of their placements (Inbox or Spam).
